ORIGIN: Wairarapa               14 Sauvignon Blanc

CLIMATIC CONDITIONS:

Mild winter and warm spring resulting in an early bud-burst, leadinf into a cooler than usual summer, followed by an early autumn.

 

DATE OF HARVEST: 30. March - 7. April 2014

HARVEST & VINIFICATION:

Partially whole bunch pressed and maceration on skins. Fermentation in different bins under influences of various         yeasts and temperatures. Racking by gravity to keep maximum freshness of fermentation-CO2.

DATE OF BOTTLING: 15 September 2014

ALC: 14.0% VOL

2014 Sauvignon Blanc

 

 

TASTING NOTES:

Fresh and crisp nose showing citrus-tinged aromas, with melon and peach. Opulent and textured palate leading to fresh tangerine with a hint of white truffle, With underlying toasty oak and a touch of fresh yeastiness create a superb harmony between delicacy and power.

 

DRINKING TEMPERATURE: 10 ºC

CELLARING: now to 5 years
